Barone Ricasoli Brolio Bettino Chianti Classico DOCG 2017
This wine is dedicated to Bettino Ricasoli - prime minister of Italy from 1861-1866 and the 'father' or the first production regulations of Chianti Classico. The wine is unfiltered and matured in big casks resulting in a ruby red colour. On the nose, hints of black cherry, balsamic and spicy notes. The mouthfeel is sweet and velvety, while the finish is sapid and persistent. The aftertaste recalls the harmony of the aroma profile and shows the typical characteristics of the terroir of Brolio.
